Laboratory for Flow Control-Fluid mechanics experiment for science & technology-

Laboratory overview

Laboratory for Flow Control (LFC) works on unsolved problems in fluid mechanics by means of development of novel experimental tools. In particular, quantitative experimental visualization techniques utilizing ultrasound and light transmission characteristics are leading to a series of new discoveries in complex flow phenomena, with which we contribute to advances of industrial technology as well as academic evolution of fluid mechanics. Major targets include turbulent flow, convection, multiphase flow, and non-Newtonian fluids. The members of LFC use their time for responding to various global demands in the field of marine transport, wind energy, food science, energy safety, and mineral resources.
